The Ministry of Environment and Forestry, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, will tomorrow launch the Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS)Week 2026.
The engagement will bring together government officials, traditional knowledge holders, researchers, private sector actors, community representatives, and development partners to strengthen Lesotho’s implementation of the Nagoya Protocol on ABS.
The event will focus on strengthening institutional capacity, validating key policy frameworks, and advancing the conservation, sustainable use, and equitable sharing of benefits derived from Lesotho’s biodiversity and medicinal plants.
