Mineworkers to return to work

The Ministry of labour and employment says, with South Africa now in level three lockdown, mine employers in South Africa are allowed to summon their employees from different neighboring countries which include Basotho.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said as Basotho prepare to go back to work, TEBA, SA’s Minerals Council and mine owners are determined to follow all safety precautions during the resumption of mining operations.

It indicated that with time the concerned parties will release a list of names of Basotho that are needed at TEBA offices, and that this will happen in batches.

All Basotho that work in South African mines are ask to keep safe and stay home while they wait for the announcement to go back to work. The ministry and TEBA will announce with time the terms and dates when the mineworkers will go back to work
