Youth called to register for jobs

The ministry of finance informs all Basotho youth of ages from 18 – 45 that there will be another registering exercise for job opportunities from October 14 – November 13 2020.

The ministry says Basotho should be aware that there will be designated places in their respective localities where they can register, and that these will be announced before the registration date.

“Basotho will remember that the government has put in place plans to give youth work as a way to give them experience and tackle unemployment at the same time.

“This opportunity is for all the with LGCSE and tertiary qualifications. They are expected to come with their educational certificates and identification documents. As for the youth without qualifications, they are expected to come with their identifications,” the ministry says in a statement issued on Wednesday this week.

The statement adds that all documents should be photocopied and certified. For more information, Basotho are told to follow the ministry of finance Facebook page.

The initiative started last year when thousands of Basotho youth were placed in different work institutions according to their qualifications and are on two-year contract contracts.
