Pioneer Mall in central Maseru was a scene of commotion on Monday afternoon after a private vehicle inexplicably crashed into the mall, landing in one of the apparel stores.

An eye witness says she heard an unusual sound and when she looked up, she saw a car flying into the shop.

“It was like a scene from a movie because I do not know where it came from. Luckily everyone ran for safety,” she said.

Upon theReporter’s arrival at the scene, security guards and police officers said no one was injured.

Pioneer management told this paper that they were aware of the accident but unwilling to delve into details, insisting it was a tragic incident and they had to respect the driver’s family.

Meanwhile, the Police said they are still talking to the lady owner of the car as she is traumatised, it’s not yet clear what led to the accident.
