Quenching thirst at Ha ‘Makhoroana

By Teboho Serutla

Accessibility to clean drinking water at Ha Rachere in the Ha ‘Makhoroana constituency in Berea district will quench a long time thirst of the communities in the area.

In his address, the minister of water Nkaku Kabi urged the residents to care for the facility “in order to secure a sustainable access to clean water” even for the future generation. He observed a desperate need for water supply services in different parts of the country.

This is despite Lesotho supplying water to the neighbouring South Africa’s Gauteng province to help support the industrial activities.

“We have discovered that dams such as Katse lately depend on the rain to reach the saturation point. Therefore, this is a call out for all to begin considering the importance of protectingr water sources,” Kabi cautioned.

Kabi hailed the contractor who had won the tender for the construction of the facility, saying operations met the required standards. Work done, he added, was completed satisfactorily by all parties in time.  According to the The last tap that the communities ever benefited from,
