Three employees of WBHO LSP Joint Venture are reported to have died in an accident which occurred at Motšeremeli in the Mokhotlong district on Sunday.
In a statement released today, the management of the joint venture says a taxi ferrying 10 employees from Maseru to Polihali site overturned after the driver lost control at Motšeremeli at around 19:00 on the said date.
Two of the employees were pronounced dead on the scene and their bodies were immediately taken to a Mokhotlong mortuary while the other four employees who were critically injured were rushed to the Letšeng clinic along with four others with minor injuries.
Subsequently, the other employee who was critically injured died the following day at Queen ‘Mamohato Memorial Hospital where he was transferred for further treatment.
On May 3 2021 two other employees were also transferred to Tšepong while the rest were discharged.
The police are continuing with investigations on the accident.
