The moment of truth! – Mokhothu optimistic ahead of polls

The Democratic Congress (DC) leader Mathibeli Mokhothu has urged Basotoho to vote for his party in tomorrow’s elections, even if they do not necessarily support the party.

Speaking on the DC’s final rally on Sunday, Mokhuthu said it was high time that DC followers showed the world that the party is alive and stronger.

Mokhuthu further proclaimed that he is confident that DC is going to win the general elections.

“During the elections DC is going to come up with many constituencies. DC will obtain more than 61 seats in parliament.

“As a result, winning the elections would be a great gift to the founder of the party Pakalitha Mosisili,”the DC leader said.

He said that if voters are eager to see the growth of the economy of the country and the creation of employment, then voting for DC will be a great move towards realising economic change.

Party members who attended the rally that was held at Masianokeng on the outskirts of Maseru, were in high spirits as they talked up the prospects of their party emerging victorious.

Masianokeng was packed with people from around the country as they wanted to witness when the leader of the DC addressed the multitude for the upcoming poll.

People were singing praises for their leader and they were adamant that DC will become government, come the 7th. Some members of the party said they are not intimidated by the competition.

Mosito Chabana from Hololo No. 2 constituency said that he was pleased with turnout at the rally. He boldly said the party is going to be the future government, promising the country was set for a major change.

He told theReporter that there is a lot of negativity toward DC, with people saying it has been in parliament for many years but has brought no change to Basotho’s lives.

“I believe that things will change this time around because DC has more experience than all these other parties and they have surely learned from that past mistakes.

“They will try to rectify all their wrongs. I am a congress member and will forever be a congress in good and in bad times.

“Nothing can change my mind and I hope that these people here attending this rally will all vote even those that could not make it but I am very pleased with what I see,” he said.

He added that those that are still confused but want to live prosperous country they should vote his party.

The founder of DC Mosisili reminded the members of the party that a party is not a certain individual but the party itself urging them to cast the ballots for candidates contesting the poll.
