The ministry of transport has invited private vehicle owners to provide transportation to the public tomorrow after a nationwide stay away planned by public transport operators.
The passenger carriers announced on Monday that they will embark on a week-long nationwide strike from Wednesday this week, to express dissatisfaction with what they call ‘ridiculous fines that the mobile traffic court imposes for traffic offences’.
The ministry of transport says short-term permits for vehicles will be applied for at the department of traffic from today.
