Likuena players tests positive for Covid-19

The Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) says three senior national soccer team, Likuena, players and two officials within the team’s camp have tested positive for Covid-19 and did not travel with the team for the first leg Afcon match against Benin.

Their names could not be disclosed in respect of patient and doctor confidentiality, and LEFA says the players and officials are already in isolation but in stable conditions. The association also appealed to members of the public and media institutes to respect the privacy of these players and their families.

Likuena jetted out yesterday to face Benin on Saturday. They are expected to return and face the west Africans for the second leg on home soil three days later.
