Moshoeshoe forms own foundation

By Neo Kolane

Ntoetse Moshoeshoe has founded a foundation in her name that is aimed at unlocking the potential to lower the rate of mental disability.

Ntoetse Moshoeshoe Foundation is a non-government organisation that was established in March 2020.

At the moment, the foundation has no fixed and permanent physical address that it operates from.

The foundation’s aim is to encourage creative thinking and to lower the rate of mental disability.

In an interview with theReporter a counselling agent of the foundation, Tsotsang Letsie explained that when it comes to creative thinking, the foundation invites Basotho youth to meetings that talk where debates are held on economic issues.

He said in November 2020 in Roma they had a meeting where they advised business owners on attitudes required to enhance trading.

The foundation encourages entrepreneurs to guard against practices that hinders the growth of the trade.

The foundation urges that those who fail in schools should not despair by losing hope and quest for success in life.

Letsie said that since it began operating, the foundation has done three projects which were successful.

“Firstly, we went to an orphanage where we cleaned the place. We also donated food stuffs such as maize meall, sugar, soap and sanitary pads.

“The foundation wanted to counsel the orphans about their status as having no parents.

If they grow with the mentally that they are orphans it will hound them. They should know that they are part of the society,” Letsie stressed.

“We also did a project that deals with economic empowerment where we advised against practices that reduce the chances of business growth,” he added.

According to him, the foundation has a network of growing businesses and those who are novices with an intention to build on their business skills.

The foundation has a counselling centre in the two districts of Mokhotlong and Maseru.

The foundation plans to be involved in the reduction of depression in the near future.

Ntoetse Moshoeshoe Foundation will also go out to reach to the cattle herders to learn about business.
