NOBO Coffee re-introduces coffee culture.

By Neo Kolane

A small coffee shop, NOBO Coffee, has started operating as a re-introduction of coffee culture in the city of Maseru.

The idea to invent the coffee culture by establishing NOBO Coffee came about in December last year but it only opened its doors on May 15 2022.

NOBO Coffee is located at the Maseru Book Centre along the Kingsway Road in Maseru

NOBO Coffee has employed a chef and two coffee stall attendees who are all Basotho.

In an interview with theReporter, the manager at NOBO Hub, Tlhalefo Bohloa, said NOBO Coffee specialises in sale of coffee and soup.

NOBO Hub is a company that provides a wide range of services and products including printing products including but not limited to: printing paper, ink cartridges, thermal as well as master roll.

Bohloa said coffee is a major product but there is a wide range of hot and cold beverages.

Without the pressure of having to go to a restaurant or a bar, Bohloa says people can go and unwind and sip on some beverages.

“We are our own competitors because there is no place that specializes in coffee culture. The environment and the general atmosphere is suitable for everyone; young and old.

“The sky is only the limit for us. We started with the stall but we realized that we do not want people to grab and go hence the sit-in,” Bohloa added.

She also mentioned that at some point, they will expand and have a franchise.

“First of all, NOBO Coffee is contributing to employ people and to help in building economy of the country. We are hoping that we do more than what we are currently doing as a small business,” she warned.

NOBO Coffee prides itself and what makes it stands out is the quality of coffee, light and delicious food and soup offered.
