Lesia boosts jobseekers’ CVs

By Neo Kolane

The co-founder of Nalane Architects Hopolang Lesia says the company is diversifying its services and venturing into the business of designing eye-catching and presentable curriculum vitae for job seekers.

Nalane Architecture is an architectural firm that offers architectural services.

Lesia insists that the strength of a curriculum vitae is not always enough to sway a prospective employer, and needs exceptional design o augment it.

The 23-year old hustler who was raised by his community started designing curriculum vitae in 2021 after he graduated.

He started by designing his own CV which would go on to help him secure more jobs even though he has his own businesses.

In an interview with theReporter this week, the Bachelor of Arts in interior architecture graduate said he designs CV’s as a side hustle which was proved to be an eye opening experience as he learns a lot about people’s personalities that influence spaces.

“I have secured so many clients and potentials. I have since started designing and posting them on my official profile on social media Twitter, and I was surprised to see that many people were really impressed with the designs.

“In January 2022, I did a promotion where I was designing CVs for free for people who were looking for jobs as a way of giving back, because after graduation, a person’s life changes,” he explained.

Lesia disclosed that he fully understands how emotionally and mentally draining job hunting can be.

“Imagine having to pay someone to write up and design your CV when you could have used that money on transportation or for food. I have a monthly promotion whereby I design 10 CVs free of charge.

“Many current CVs are described as dull, because they are too plain and lack creativity. Mine goal is to create a bridge of communication between the employer and the job seeker. You are not there when the potential employer goes through your CV, that is where the importance of designing comes in because your CV communicates to the employer.

“To date, I have designed CV’s for 28 people. I had to put everything on hold when I was forced to sell my equipment due to personal reasons, but I still want to continue doing it because I love changing people’s lives.”

Lesia says he works by himself and it takes a day to complete one CV.

“Before I start the design and ramp, I study the industry of the work one wants to apply for and then revamp their CV in such a way that the employer will thoroughly hear the job seeker,” he clarified.

Lesia is an architectural student award winner who won Tan Sri Limkokwing Award in entrepreneurship.

He is also the owner of Lesia Lawn Care, a landscape cleaning company, which he started with his brother Seitebatso Molieleng in 2017.

It is this business that enabled him to cover the costs of his studies.
