The Minister of Trade, Industry and Business Development and Tourism, Mokhethi Shelile, will today officiate the launch of Lesotho’s first horticulture incubation and training hub in Mahobong, Leribe.
According to the ministry’s public relations officer, Mantletse Maile, the hub is expected to accelerate commercialisation of small holder horticulture farms.
“The centre will develop and support competitive smallholder commercial horticulture farms as well small and medium agribusiness enterprises,” said Maile.
It will also encourage horticulture farmers to be climate smart and assist them to have regional value linkages.
