Fokhothi students allowed to sit for exams

By Seleoe Nonyane

Lerotholi Polytechnic says is giving students a chance to sit for their final examinations starting from August 7, 2023.

This comes after the students went on strike in protest over delays by the government to disburse their allowances. They then rushed to court for address.

In a press statement, the institution’s governing council said it remains committed to ensuring that operations take place without any disruptions.

“Students willing to sit for examinations will be protected by law enforcement agents in and outside campus,” the council assured.

It also warned that serious consequences would be taken against students who try to disrupt the examinations.
