Senatsi occupies space through organic candles

By Mosa Matela

Entrepreneurial prodigy, Joalane Senatsi has launched an organic candle brand called Joyful Moments.

The company manufactures and distributes soy candles that stretch over a variety of shapes, colours and scents – suitable for use in any environment.

Senatsi launched Joyful Moments, her pride and joy, on November 30 2022.

The brand produces an assortment of candles, allowing consumers to pick between pillar and container candles in a variety of colours and scents.

Since her college days, Senatsi had always been intrigued by the world of business. She started off by selling and distributing a plethora of products before being consumed by the urge to sell her own products.

“Distributing and selling is not something that I was forced into. I have just always been extremely passionate about all things business, and they have always seemed to work in my favour.

“After graduating I decided to take entrepreneurship seriously. I wanted to scale up, so I started my own little project in hopes of being able to do it full time,” she said.

Due to the depth of this passion, Senatsi decided to enroll into the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs, where she is further being equipped with skills and knowledge necessary to get her where she wants to be in the world of business.

Senatsi informed this publication that the one major challenge she faces as an entrepreneur, especially one from this country, is lack of resources.

She said importing everything is very strenuous as it negatively impacts production time which in turn negatively affect goods delivery and customer satisfaction.

“Everything used in the production process needs to be imported. I often find myself importing even the smallest things from South Africa which has resulted in me missing order deadlines and losing clients,” Senatsi pointed out.

That notwithstanding, she continues to persevere and instill principles that are certain to not only keep her motivated, but also ensure success both now and in the long run.

“My beliefs and my principles are what keep me going. I’m always open-minded and ready to learn. I push myself even when it is uncomfortable. I also make sure to network as often as I can and grow as I go instead of putting immense pressure on myself from the get-go.”

She encourages young entrepreneurs to never go into the world of business without doing thorough market research and without identifying a problem and making a solid plan to fix it.

Young entrepreneurs should make sure that the goods and services they are providing are needed by the general public, she advises.

As of Monday next week, Senatsi’s products will be available at MILCO store, Sefika Complex. She is available on 58444280 and on both Instagram and Facebook as JoyfulMoments.
