Today marks the end of a three-day leadership training of Cabinet ministers held with the support of the UNDP Lesotho.
The training that commenced on Friday ended today in Teyateyaneng.
In his opening remarks, the prime minister Sam Matekane indicated that the training is part of a series of training programs which are meant to help settle in their positions as Cabinet ministers.
He said he was confident that the new skills will improve their performance and ensure efficiency and effectiveness in their service delivery to the nation.
“As the leadership, we acknowledge a need for new perspectives on accountability in service delivery,” he said.
Matekane added that it is unacceptable that citizens still experience long delays in receiving services which they are entitled to.
He said it was his desire to see the government swiftly dealing with these challenges and such could be achieved by effective Cabinet able to discharge duties efficiently.
