Lesotho and the United Nations yesterday marked 60 years of partnership through a youth festival in Maseru.
Speaking at the event themed “Building Our Future Together,” Minister of Gender, Youth and Social Development Pitso Lesaoana encouraged consumers to buy locally made products to help young entrepreneurs expand their businesses.
The celebration, attended by government representatives, UN agencies and local institutions, also highlighted cooperation in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.
Lesotho joined the United Nations in 1966. Since then, the two parties have been collaborating on poverty reduction, healthcare and inclusive education.
