Ntoanyane sweetens syrup market

By Seleoe Nonyane

A Mafeteng-based entrepreneur, Limpho Ntoanyane, has created one more product under her business – a syrup labelled NaturalCare Syrup which is proving to be a hit on the market.

Talking to theReporter this week, Ntoanyane said the syrup is made from five fruits, namely rosehip, blackberry, prickly pear, pomegranate and elderberry.

Ntoanyane stated that the syrup has been tested for safety and has been certified fit for human consumption.

She described the syrup as ‘a storehouse of nutrients’ that promotes the overall health of bones and cartilage.

“It improves the heart’s health, cleans the kidneys and colon while also boosting the immune system.

“The syrup contains petrochemicals and antioxidants that scavenge free radicals,” she said.

The raw materials are harvested from nature without use of artificial preservatives, colourants and flavouring.

Ntoanyane said the syrup has been available since early May 2023 and is already being embraced by consumers who marvel at the fact that it contains so many nutrients in one bottle.

“The syrup is necessary for people on the go, as it substitutes rosehip tea, and brings convenience.

“I understand that there are people who will not sit down to have a cup of tea but will prefer something quicker with the same nutritional value,” she noted.

She further revealed that the rosehip tea was founded in 2016 as a research project to identify its chemical composition before it was packaged in teabags.

“This product that is very rich in nutrients, especially vitamin C and other minerals that help alleviate arthritis, inflammation, heart disease and prevents cancers,” Ntoanyane said.

In 2021, she also branched into production of skin care products which she named NaturalCare Skin Range. The products contain goat milk lotion and cream.

Ntoanyane holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition degree from the National University of Lesotho, which she says is about seeking healing and prevention through nutrients and chemicals found in plants.

The product is available at the following places; Naturem shop 139A Metcash, JAOSAPHELA Sefika Area, Reherb Health and Wellness Store. WhatsApp number: +26659355535.

The syrup can also be found at New Era Chemist in Mafeteng. Call +266 58180622 and +266 57014811/68726499.
