Hip Hop artist NtataKhosi made his return to the music scene a huge one after dropping what he considers his biggest project of all time in May this year.
Born Karabo Masehlela, NtataKhosi is a fashion designer, music producer and recording artist who recently released an EP called “Joale Ke Nako.”
Talking the theReporter recently, the rapper said as the as the title of the new offering suggests, it was about time that he released an EP adding that it has been a long time coming.
He said the new project is enormous for him as he has never released a collection of songs but would only release singles therefore making “Joale Ke Nako” a big deal.
The EP contains eight songs including the club bangers “U Ntomme Matsoho” and “Kea Sokola”, which are proving to be the most popular songs he has produced thus far.
NtataKhosi revealed that track one – titled “Vumma” – happens to be his favourite song on the EP as it relates where he is coming from and where he wants to be.
The EP is available on his YouTube channel called Ntata Khosi.
The artist said he started my musical journey when he was still in high school, but only got recognition in 2015 when he secured a lot of bookings.
“Another major reason for only dropping this EP now is because it was essential for me to grow a fan base before publishing big projects; the timing was perfect for me.
“Motivation for the EP and my music in general resonates from the way I live my life and the things that happen around me. There is a lot going on and I think the story of my life can change people’s lives,” he noted.
NtataKhosi said he had never been good with expressing himself and talking about his feelings; this is how he resorted to making music as a means of conveying his feelings.
“I was inspired to make my own music because it was very hard for me to open up to people. Sometimes we need people to listen when we are going through a lot.
“Singing was the easiest way of expressing my feeling,” he added.
