LeSwitch to make ATM transactions easier

The Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL) has partnered with four commercial banks to fully deployed the ATM phase of the National Payment Switch, now known as LeSwitch, which has localised ATM transactions nationwide.

The banks are FNB Lesotho, Nedbank Lesotho, Lesotho PostBank and Standard Lesotho bank.

CBL recently said the changes have transformed day to day transactions to make them more efficient, reliable and accessible for Basotho.

“The benefits are seamless ATM access across banks where Lesotho ATM cardholders will be able to use any ATM in the country, regardless of their bank, allowing for greater flexibility and convenience,” it noted in a statement.

CBL indicated that both consumers and banks benefit through lower costs when transactions are made locally through LeSwitch.

“Transactions through LeSwitch will be processed quickly and securely, ensuring that customers can access their funds without delays or concerns over safety,” it stated.
