Lesotho confirms two more Covid-19 cases

Lesotho has recorded two more confirmed cases of Covid-19, bring the total number of cases reported in the country to four.

This was disclosed by the ministry of health on Wednesday.

The ministry says 421 samples for suspected cases were collected from travellers from South Africa, including the second confirmed case of Covid-19 from May 22 to 28.

“The samples were taken to NICD in South Africa for testing on May 29 2020. Results were received on June 1 2020. Of the 421samples, 419 tested negative for the virus while two tested positive.  

“The two new cases had arrived from South Africa (Cape Town) on separate routes on May 23 2020.”
