Lesotho, World Bank sign M840m finance agreements

The government of Lesotho and the World Bank have signed three financing agreements worth more than M841 million.

The agreements are aimed at expanding energy access, strengthening skills development and improving nutrition outcomes across the country. These are; the Accelerating Sustainable and Clean Energy Access Transformation (ASCENT) Lesotho Project, the Lesotho Skills Acceleration Project, and the Lesotho MultisectoralNutrition Project. 

The agreements were signed on Thursday by Minister of Finance and Development Planning Dr. RetšelisitsoeMatlanyane on behalf of the government of Lesotho and World Bank Representative Dinara Djoldosheva.
