RSL, Forestry Department plant trees at Kolonyama

Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL), in collaboration with the Department of Forestry, yesterday planted 2000 at Ha Molipa, Kolonyama, Leribe, as part of efforts to promote environmental conservation and restore forests.

RSL’s Manneheng Mopeli said the initiative started in 2023 and has so far resulted in the planting of about 20,000 trees each year.

She said the tree-planting programme demonstrates the RSL’s commitment to supporting government initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and improving communities.

The project is also intended to encourage communities to take an active role in environmental protection.

Speaking during the event, Moselantja Molaoa from the Department of Foresty in Leribe encouraged the community toprotect the newly planted trees.
