WASCO announces new connection fees

Water and Sewage Company (WASCO) has announced that new connection fees, approved by the Lesotho Electricity and Water Authority (LEWA), will come into effect on November 1, 2026.

Customers planning to connect their homes or businesses to the WASCO water network will pay a base connection fee of M3,335.60, which covers the first metre and all materials required for a complete and working connection.

The water metre provided by WASCO is not included in the fee.

“For every metre beyond the first, an additional M10.35 will be charged for the extra 25mm HDPE pipe required. The connection fee is therefore, calculated as M3,335.60 + (additional metres × M10.35),” thecompany said in a statement.
