A reliable source in the ministry of health has confirmed that Covid-19 is suspected to have claimed two lives in Maseru.
The source says the victims are family members residing at Ha Thamae in Maseru, adding that a third family member is critically ill at home.
The National Covid-19 Secretariat (NACOSEC) communications officer, Tumisang Mokoai, acknowledged cognisance of these reports, and told theReporter that NACOSEC is already investigating the matter before issuing an official statement.
Mokoai went on to re-emphasise the importance of observing World Health Organisation safety guidelines.
In another development, one more health facility – the Katlehong AHF-LMPS Clinic – temporarily suspended services on Tuesday after a staff member was found to have been infected with Covid-19.
