By Neo Mathibe

The Movement for Economic Change (MEC) leader, Selibe Mochoboroane, yesterday officially announced the passing of party spokesperson, Motlalentoa Khoete.

Speaking at the Khoete household at Sebothoane in Hlotse, Mochoboroane said the deceased was rushed to the Berea hospital on Saturday morning, where he was put on an oxygen tank to assist his breathing., but sadly he lost his life between the 6:00pm and 7:00pm.

The MEC leader expressed great sadness and grief, adding the party and its members were still reeling from the news of the passing of Khoete, who he described as ‘a very active and loyal member’.

Mochoboroane went on to plead with Basotho to be wary of this second wave of Covid-19 as it is a reality that is claiming lives.

“Let us protect ourselves, let us protect each other. This is a time to protect one another and country of Lesotho,” Mochoboroane said.
