Sekola promises to deliver water to Liphakoeng

By Teboho Serutla

The village of Liphakoeng in the Makhaleng constituency has become the latest community to be promised installation of water taps by the deputy minister of water affairs Lepota Sekola.

The community has since time immemorial been depending on unprotected sources and rainfall for drinking water.

Sekola, who was accompanied by a team of ministry officials on his visit to Liphakoeng on Wednesday, carried out an inspection of three natural sources that have been earmarked as potential sources to be tapped into to address the community’s water problems.

He urged the community to carefully guard equipment that will be used in the project, after reports in some places that contractors were guilty of stealing such equipment that includes solar panels, after installing them.
