Clientcare donates to teachers

By Kefiloe Kajane

A local insurance company Clientcare Risk Consultants is giving back to the community by giving teachers face shields and sanitizers.

The managing director of Clientcare Popi Kaiser told theReporter, her company preferred to donate to the teachers as they are involved in shaping future leaders. He said the teachers were among their sole supporters, adding the work of teaching was a challenging one.

This community initiative, according to Kaiser, is meant to help teachers protect themselves and their learners.

The donor distributed this protective equipment to the two primary schools of St Bernadette in Maseru and Leshoboro in Berea district.

The equipment is aimed at protecting teachers against the infectious Corona Virus pandemic –Covid-19 that has already killed some thousands people in Lesotho.

Some schools’ learners, especially in the district of Leribe were found to have contracted the virus leading to stringent health measures taken to avert further infections based on the WHO health protocols.

Kaiser was hopeful that more equipment would be availed to some other institutions as the number of infections surge.

“We will try our level best to help where we can. We know that when teachers are protected, our children are protected as well. We went to schools and talked to teachers and in our conversation, we found out that there was a need for protective equipment, Kaiser said.

ClientCare Risk Consultants is a local insurance broker based in Maseru. It provides domestic and commercial insurances, group life and employee benefits.
