Taking good care of one’s skin is important other than just for good looks.
One’s skin care is essential to a good health. If one takes care of it, it can in turn be good for anyone’s health. In this way, it is so important to have a well-thought-out skin care routine.
Nthatisi Phakisi lives by the adage that justifies the above statement which says: “Invest in your skin. It is going to present you for a long time.”
Nthabiseng Phakisi, who describes herself as a skin care enthusiast is the chief executive officer (CEO) and brand ambassador for her beauty products named Botle beauty Products.
The products consist of Botle 100 percent organic whipped Shea butter and Botle hairfood with a 100 percent organic Shea butter.
Botle 100 percent organic Shea butter benefits to the skin are that it moisturizes the skin, soothes and calms the skin. It can also assist in preventing and healing acne. Additional benefits are that the product helps in the reduction of signs of ageing, reduction of stretch marks and helps with various skin conditions.
The Botle Hairfood, with 100 percent Shea butter, helps soothe dry brittle hair, repair split ends and helps the hair to grow.
Being a skin enthusiast led Phakisi to conducting a thorough research during the 2020 lockdown on how herbs and other organic products can help the skin. She then began using those herbs on her skin and realised a positive change to her skin.
This is where the idea for producing skin care products brewed. Her first attempt was in November 2021, which saw her publicizing the products in December.
Apart from the production of the beauty products, Phakisi is still a student at the National University of Lesotho pursuing a Masters’ Degree in Development Studies.
She mentioned that what keeps her pushing is the fact that she wanted to help “other people to care and look after their skin.”
She said: “I want to assist people to care for their skin and help them improve their looks. I wish to see people having good looking skin.”
Phakisi added that consumers should know that caring and achieving good skin looking is not an overnight matter as it takes timeshe intends for people to know that, “achieving they’re skin goal is not an overnight process. It takes time, discipline and dedication just like gym,” Phakisi said.
Talking to theReporter this week Phakisi said: “If you love what you do then the job becomes easy.” Her involvement in skin care also serves as a therapy.
She says it takes about two hours to produce these skin care products. She is supported in her efforts by a team of dedicated personnel.
