Matshai re-opens her business

By Neo Kolane

Relebohile Matshai decided to reopen her business Reefab Events and Creations last year in October after it closed down.

Reefab Events and Creations started in 2013 when Matshai was in her early 20’s which she began as   an events organising company, shuttling and kiddie’s evens host.

Reefab Events and Creations is an events and décor planning company. It is 100 percent black owned and a subsidiary of M&D Holdings.

In an interview with theReporter this week, Matshai said today’s career driven and fast paced lifestyles often get in the way and seldom people have time to plan and therefore Reefab Events and Creation wants the best and unforgettable experiences for its loved ones.

She explained that the company comes in where it offers its services to help deliver memorable moments and focus on people’s focus.

Reefab Events and Creation offers services like event planning and management, tent and marques, furniture and décor hire, pre and post event cleaning as well as logistics and operations management.

Matshai disclosed that she is passionate about kids so that has always been a dream for her to organise kids’ events.

“Unfortunately as time went especially because of the immaturity business-wise and being overwhelmed it did not go well for me and then I had to shut it down.

“It was shut down in 2016 and at that stage I closed it down and told myself that I had to forget about it and go to back to my previous employ,” she said.

Having been in the corporative for a long time and being experienced, she thought of realising her dream and restart the business which had been shut down.

The religious believer went back to her drawing board where she brainstormed and everything unravelled very fast.

She found herself having a proposal and then she started the organogram of Reefab.

The difference now is that she had to change from Reefab kiddies to Reefab Events and Creations.

“We do décor, corporate events, weddings and kiddies events as well, we are tapping into project management.

“I was able to link up with three ladies that work for me that have studied and have degrees. But when I met them, one of them was not working for two and a half years.

“Ever since October last year when we opened, things have been going well and God blessed us within a very short space of time. We now have three weddings that are coming,

“One of the biggest is for 300 guests,” she disclosed.

Reefab Events and Creations offices is at Lower Thetsane, Maliba-Matṧo street.
