A meeting is currently underway in Maseru ahead of the launch of the Lesotho National Youth Entrepreneurship Programme.
The programme was developed by the Ministry of gender and youth, sports, arts, culture and social development in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme.
The project aims to empower potential and existing youth entrepreneurs for socio-economic growth sustainability as the government and its partners intensify efforts to close the unemployment gap in Lesotho.
In a statement, the ministry said the programme will be carried out through an integrated approach towards transfer of skills and knowledge between mentors and mentors.
“The one-day meeting seeks to come up with rollout strategies and collaboration efforts which can benefit all stakeholders,” the statement noted.
