Letshego appoints new head of sales

By Mateliso Phulane

Letshego Lesotho has announced the appointment of Motebang Moeketsi as Head of Sales, Distribution, Products and Marketing.

He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s sales operations, including the development and implementation of effective sales strategies, managing distribution channels and optimising the product portfolio through efficiency and diversification.

Letshego Lesotho believes that Moeketsi’s deep understanding of market dynamics, evolving customer needs and preferences will play a vital role in guiding sales, distribution, product, and marketing teams to achieve high levels of excellence.

Letshego Lesotho’s Chief Executive Officer, Selloane Tsike said, “We welcome Motebang with his passion for his work and his deep experience of the telecommunications industry’s game changing and market disrupting innovations that should enable Letshego Lesotho to lead in delivering digital innovations that add value to the financial services and solutions we offer to our customers.

“We believe that his strong leadership experience and strategic vision will help focus our sales performance and we are confident in his ability to propel our organisation forward, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and driving sustained business success,” she noted.

Moeketsi has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector and strategy consulting spanning over 15 years, most of it in management roles. He has played a pivotal role in the digitisation of payments in Lesotho, from launching the first Mobile Money service in the country to growing the payment platform.

He has also worked on financial inclusion projects spearheaded by Finmark Trust and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) aimed at ensuring that all Basotho are financially included and are able to access financial products to improve their lives. Moeketsi has further provided technical assistance to the government in piloting the digitisation of its social assistance programme.
