Lesotho talent takes AI innovation across borders

Two entrepreneurs, Thebesa Palime and Tumelontle Mokoka, have launched LinkedNova, a South Africa-based company developing AI-powered voice agents that turn calls into business results.

LinkedNova’s voice AI platform helps businesses improve operations, boost customer experiences, and unlock new revenue streams. Already partnering with major brands, the company offers measurable benefits through cutting-edge automation.

“By harnessing AI, we enable partners to make data-driven decisions, automate tasks, and standardise operations, reducing administrative burdens for companies of all sizes,” said Palime.

One of LinkedNova’s flagship products is an AI conversational agent designed for call centres. It handles both inbound and outbound calls, managing bookings and confirming reservations with always-on, human-like voice support. The technology captures after-hours opportunities, cuts response times, and significantly reduces costs while integrating seamlessly with existing systems.

Palime emphasised the solution’s relevance for Lesotho, citing its scalability and easy customisation for sectors ranging from retail to real estate, all without the need for advanced technical expertise. The team is currently training the system in multiple regional languages to enhance cultural relevance and market reach.

“This is just the beginning. We are building a suite of AI-driven tools tailored to Southern Africa’s business landscape, focused on accessibility, performance, and solving real operational challenges,” Palime noted.
