LTDC revives Qualstar programme

The Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC) and the Lesotho Council for Tourism (LCT) have renewed their commitment to improving the quality, safety and competitiveness of services through the Qualstar programme.

The organisations hosted the Qualstar Grand Forum at Manthabiseng Convention Centre on Thursday, marking a new step towards strengthening quality assurance in the tourism industry.

Speaking at the event, LTDC Acting Chief Executive Officer Mamello Morojele said the Qualstar logo represents the industry’s commitment to providing high-quality services and ensuring visitors have positive experiences.

She said the logo should give visitors confidence in the safety and reliability of services.

Makhetha Matsoari, Chairperson of the LCT, described the occasion as an important milestone in the development of the country’s tourism industry.

He said the relaunch of the Qualstar programme was an opportunity to renew the two organisations’ commitment to building a tourism industry that offers quality, professionalism and safety while competing with international destinations.
