The Network of Early Childhood Development of Lesotho (NECDOL) has called for urgent collective action to address rising cases of violence against children, including abuse, rape, abductions and killings.
In a statement, the organisation urged the Government, law enforcement agencies, communities and development partners to strengthen child protection systems and ensure perpetrators are held accountable.
NECDOL also appealed to child protection experts, the media and the public to assist in locating missing children and ensuring their safe recovery.
It said protecting children was a shared national responsibility and called for safer environments for every child.
