The Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) has appointed ‘Mathabo Mokoko as its new commissioner General effective September 1 2023.
The announcement was made by the minister of finance and development planning Retselisitsoe Matlanyane.
Mokoko succeeds Thabo Khasipe who left RSL in December 2022 to join the Southern African Customs Union as its executive secretary.
The new commissioner of RSL is an admitted advocate of the High Court and Court of Appeal of Lesotho.
She graduated with a bachelor of laws from the National University of Lesotho and also obtained a masters in taxation from the University of Pretoria.
She has served in several roles at RSL and she was the commissioner of clients services until her new appointment as the commissioner general.
