STANLIB Lesotho announces M250K soccer sponsorship

STANLIB Lesotho has injected M250,000 into the Premier League Man of the Match Programme for the 2026/27 season, to be run in partnership with the Premier League Management Committee (PLMC).

The partnership celebrates STANLIB’s 25-year legacy of contributing to the growth of Basotho and the Premier League’s role as one of the country’s most visible platforms for talent, competition and community engagement.

To uphold credibility and fairness, the PLMC will establish an independent Man of the Match Technical Panel made up of seasoned football and technical experts with no affiliation to any Premier League club. The panel’s independence is intended to eliminate potential conflicts of interest and ensure that the recognition is based solely on the performance of players on the day.

The panel will apply consistent criteria that assess individual contribution, technical execution, tactical awareness, decision making, work rate, discipline and overall influence on the match.

At the end of each Premier League fixture, the selected player will be announced as the STANLIB Lesotho Man of the Match and will receive M2,000 cash. This immediate recognition reinforces a culture of excellence and motivates players to consistently perform at the highest level.
