The fight against corruption is not only a legal obligation, but also a moral responsibility and national duty.
This war cannot be won by government institutions alone, hence civil society, private sector, communities, and youth should join the party.
This was said by the director general of Directorate of Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) Advocate Brigadier Mantŝo Sello during International Anti-Corruption Day commemoration today. The event was held the theme, “Uniting with Youth against Corruption, Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity”.
Adv. Brig Sello said the theme invites them to reflect deeply on DCEO’s central goal building a future defined by integrity, honesty andaccountability.
He noted that there was no progress in this country due to corruption, as it is a means of survival for some people.
“We need to work hand in hand with the youth tofight corruption. They are the heartbeat of the nation and should have the will and wisdom given by God to stand against the evil that is corruption.Their strength, energy, and courage must now become a force of integrity,” he added.
