Prime Minister Sam Matekane has called for foreign investment to diversify Lesotho’s economy, boost exports and create jobs.
He made the call at the ongoing 9th World Investment Forum in Doha, Qatar.
Speaking under the theme ‘Investing in the Future’, Matekane said investment should strengthen local businesses, improve skills and expand access to international markets.
“Investment must enable us to diversify our economy, strengthen export competitiveness, increase value addition and generate sustained and inclusive economic growth,” he noted.
